Challenge Your Nail Art: Bright Colors

Hey guys!  Today is the beginning of another Challenge Your Nail Art challenge, and I'm super excited for it!  The theme this time around is "Summer Time" and today's prompt is "Bright Colors" which if you know me, you know I love!

I decided to interpret bright as neon, because why wouldn't I?  I started this mani with a base of Sinful Colors Snow Me White and then started blobbing on neons with the brushes from the bottles.  I did a sort of mixed ombre going from pink (thumb) to purple (pinkie).

On my pinkie, I have blues and purples, my ring finger is blues and greens, my middle finger is greens and yellows, my index finger is yellows and oranges, and my thumb is oranges and pinks.

Once I was done blobbing on the colors, I started drawing some sketch-y flowers with my black striper (Diamond Cosmetics Black.)  I also added some swirls and dots to full up empty space.

Here is a list of colors used, in order from thumb to pinkie!
dELiA's (unnamed neon pink); China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy; Sally Girl (unnamed neon orange); China Glaze Celtic Sun; China Glaze I'm With The Lifeguard; China Glaze Turned Up Turquoise; Urban Outfitters Glow in blue (it's the closest I have to a neon blue, so I guess parts of these will glow!); Sally Hansen Pep-Plum; and NYC MoMa.
Whew! That's a lot of colors!

Even with all the colors used, these were still really quick and easy! They probably took me about 45 minutes from base to top coat, which isn't half bad! I LOVE this look, so much so that tomorrow's "sunset" nails will be on my right hand so I can rock both looks for a couple days!

Make sure to check out the other ladies' "Bright Colors" nails!

    1. Aw thank you! I found it a lot easier to do the flowers if you start at the tip of the petal, that way if your line gets wider as you go (a problem I tend to have) it looks right!
And I couldn't resist an ombre, then you get more colors!
